What A Monday!

It has totally not started out well. Actually the last few days have been a major roller coaster. Around last Wed Alex started in about wanting a baby bro. Totally NOT happening. On Friday I took the day off because I had no work to do and didn’t feel like sitting in an office for 8 hours with nothing to do. I was not feeling well. Pretty nauseaus. I knew it wasn’t swine flu because (1) I had no fever, chills, or even vomiting spells and (2) I didn’t ache so bad my hair hurt. I had been cramping for days and days and on Friday I was two weeks late. In crept paranoia. I am fixed and I started wondering if something decided it wanted to work again. And I had all the classic symptoms of early pregnancy….even down to being surrounded by alot of women whom are pregnant or trying to conceive. When I was fertile, I was so fertile if you said “Guess what, I am pregnant!” I got pregnant. NO LIE! So in set the panic. Fortunatley I was spared, my monthly friend arrived Saturday and I could relax. By Saturday night I was back in bitch mode because I hurt so bad. When I am late it seems to decide I need physical agony to go with it. When I am on time (which isn’t too often but it does happen) I go without any discomfort whatsoever. But that has only been since the tubal ligation. Well yesterday I started having issues with the kids. Alex was overly rambunctious for his usually rambunctious self. He decided to cut his hair. Then the girls started pulling a “I don’t want to wash dishes” trick. They soak everything. That’s what they did twice yesterday even AFTER I informed them I wanted an empty sink.  When I went to bed not only were there 5 dishes “soaking” (which had been soaking for two days alread) but one side of the sink was clogged and full of water. They KNOW they are supposed to get help from us if a sink clogs. They also KNOW not to shove food down the drain, which is why it was clogged. SO this morning I woke them up 30 min early and had them get ready for school. As soon as they were done I informed them that they must clean up my kitchen. There was to be an empty sink or (1) no holiday parade Saturday, (2) no movies Saturday night {I was supposed to take the oldest to see New Moon}, (3) no phone calls, (4) no friends over, and (5) no computer. So they allegedly get done and go to the bus. I go through the kitchen to bedroom to get ready and do you know what I see?? I bet you will NEVER guess! There were the same 5 dishes “soaking” in the sink! They washed a couple of things that were from this morning but they ignored what I wanted done. And there wasn’t much so in 30 minutes they washed just a couple plates, one frying pan, and a couple peices of silverware. IN THIRTY MINUTES!!!!!!!!!

So around 3:30 EST this afternoon, if you hear some children screaming and crying. It is because I have informed them of all the privileges they lost.

Now on to some other more positive things. Some of you may notice a new thing, my donation button. I have it up simply in hopes that someone might be kind enough to donate a dollar or two to help me keep this site up. It isn’t going anywhere but it’s not cheap either and any little bit I can get would be great. That doesn’t mean that I will be expecting donations either. And I won’t be keeping tabs on who does and who doesn’t. So don’t none of my longtime loyal readers get worried about that!

Also, I am looking at creating an account over at Associated Content. I have been looking over it the last few days and I think I would rather join them than Suite101 or About.com. For those not aware of Associated Content, they pay for articles based on pageviews. It’s not anything that will get me rich quick but if it can buy my gas at least one week out of each month, that would be awesome! If I do create an account I will do Opinions articles. I didn’t want to do anything Pagan oriented because that is more for here and they have so many pagans over there it isn’t funny. I think an Opinions column would get much more attention (aka pageviews) and I am pretty opinionated. Anywho, I will be sure to link any articles I post and you all can check them out if your interested. I want to build up some articles before I start over there…then I won’t be struggling for content lol.

Your Monday morning was a bit hectic! I have the same problems with dishes with my two girls and they are 17 & 18! Sorry to say, it doesn’t get easier as they get older.

And the ‘cycle’ doesn’t get easier the closer you get to menopause age – I still have all the symptoms but at least I don’t have the actual period. But the symptoms haven’t abated at all!

    Hope your week gets better!
