Ok so technically it began on the 1st but really we are starting to feel it. The kids are enjoying their advent calendars. Cracks me up because it used to be a battle to get them up in the morning. Now they wake me up with their elephant-like running to the dining room to get their small peice of chocolate. In previous years I had to take it away by now because the boy would tear into all of it. Not just his either, he tore apart his sisters’ too just to get the candy. But this year he really gets the significance of counting down. Yesterday he mistakenly opened the 22 instead of the 2. Hey, he got the 2 part right lol. But he gently put the candy back, found the correct one, then apologized to me ever so sweetly.
The girls have started counting down the days until their vacation. They are dying to go shopping as well. Not to mention help me make cookies. Maybe I will let them help with the apple butter too. All I am looking forward to is a Christmas movie each night and some popcorn while snuggling with my babies. That is if I can get them to leave the Christmas Music Box alone.
I will be doing some video soon of our decorations. Probably closer to the 12th when i have to have my house super clean lol!

I love advent calendars, they’re a lot of fun! It’s great that you get to sit down at night an watch Christmas movies. I look forward to this weekend when I can do the same.
Nice! I wish we could do those, but its hard to find ones that are religious or start on the first day of Advent instead of Dec 1st. Even worse for us because we have 2 more weeks of Advent.. I don’t think one exists that would work. I could make one… but the work & time? Won’t happen any time soon lol. Glad your kids are having fun though!
Yea it sucks they only have the commercialized ones out. Maybe over the summer you could make one?

If I had any idea on how to make one then I might have advice LOL! With knitting I could work on it an hour before bed each night and get something done. But I am not so sure you could knit somethng like that. Well I guess you could, but I am too new to figure out how to design one lol.
