Please note I did not use the word “guru” in the title! I have a list of people on Twitter that I simply labeled Social Media. Like my normal eclectic self these people are all different within the realm of Social Media. The only thing they have in common is: they know how to use it. If you are wanting to branch out and start working with corporations, these are the people for you. If you are wanting to go to your own domain, these are the people for you. If you have your own domain but need help making it look the best it can, these are the people for you. Want to know how to best utilize Twitter and Facebook? These are the people for you.
LaJollaMom - I am not sure if I have met LaJollaMom or not to be honest. But somewhere along the way we found each other on Twitter. If she isn’t tweeting about her kids, travels, or blogging she is letting you know about opportunities. She is enjoyable as she portrays herself as a human being in her tweets. Nothing robotic or salesperson-ish about her, she is real!
AvlSocialMedia - this is a local but goodie, the brain child of Kelby Carr (founder of Type-A-Mom and TypeAMomCon). Kelby has been in Social Media for a looooonnnggg time and has lots of info to share. She started AvlSocialMedia when she merged with Asheville Chamber of Commerce and began Social Media Classes. The account tweets about those classes, who is signing up for them, and local events in town.
PANetwork - this account is for the Pagan Alliance Network. If anything about paganism is in the news, on the radio, or on a website they will tweet about it. At times they tweet about events but mostly for the midwest.
adamsconsulting excellent writer! Alot of her posts are about Twitter or Facebook. She also tweets alot of links to other articles about Twitter and Facebook. I haven’t clicked every single link but when I have the info has been informative and helpful.
Thomas_Ward with all the women powerhouses I have listed, I felt it necessary to inclue at least one guy! Thomas wins with his excellent knowledge on the technical aspect of Social Media. Whether it’s how the internet has changed, technical advantages for your blog, or using YouTube effectively…..this man knows his stuff!
