I am sure I have said this but I love going to my in-laws. Their home sits on a mountain and they have a farm of sorts. Mostly animals that are pets, not anything that causes them to live off the land. It’s so far out there I was unable to tweet (actually caused a moment of panic!) or even make calls in some places (not that I made any). We didn’t have anything planned but a meal; bbq chicken, asparagus, salad, and chips. MMMMM good eating! It’s wonderfully peaceful and causes me to slow down and just enjoy the time. And of course I took pics.
A gorgeous tree I was compelled to snap a pic of as soon as we arrived. I was going to tweet it but that’s when I discovered THAT was not happening.
My kids love hitting up the pond to feed the fish.
My inlaws also are down to two goats (sorry no pics taken of them), two llamas, and a billy goat.

When it got closer to sunset, the girls’ and I went inside for a rousing game of Skip-Bo.
Meanwhile Alex started a puzzle, soon his G-Mom joined him
By the time we got home the kids were tired. Which was great cause so was I lol!

Came across your blog and really liked it. We live on a mountain in NJ with many acres and have chickens,dogs, cats and pet birds. My 6 sons love the outdoors and always find nature an neverending mystery. We have a natural stream going through our property with crayfish, and all sorts of frogs and toads. Last night it was warm ,with the windows opened we fell asleep to the sounds of tree frogs outside our windows! What could be better than that!
