Miss Me?

I am baaaaaaack!!! We are still a bit busy in our office but it has slowed down tremendously. We have quarterlies to get done for our payroll clients, much easier work in comparison to tax returns. We saw a decline this year in our numbers. I suspect many of our clients filed themselves to save money. Can’t say I blame them!

Yesterday I began spring cleaning. Kyle took the kids to his parents to help clean the barns out before they left this morning on their beach trip. That meant plenty of alone time for me. I only got the dining room cleaned but there was so much to do. I felt really bad cause I still had the Christmas boxes in there, that was 6 trips to the basement. And our camping stuff was still in there, another 2 trips to the basement. I worked up a good sweat before I got around to the wall scrubbing! Today I am going to start on the car (so it’s clean for our Beltane trip) while the kids and hubs starts on the living room. I will come in and wash down the walls, blinds, and the ceiling fan when they get it done.

I was also going to start the tomatoes and strawberries today. A while back I got the hanging planters for them at Wal-Mart. I was originally going to buy the Topsy Turvy hangers online but Wal-Mart had a cheaper version that came with the soil and seeds too, I was sold! I also got an herb starter. It has rosemary, basil, and thyme. I will eventually get a bigger planter for those later on. Anywho I was going to get those started today BUT I read the farmers almanac and their best days according to the moon calendar. Today and tomorrow are bad days. So I will do it Tuesday. Which is better anyway because they sit in the planter wrapped in Saran Wrap for 2 weeks and 2 weeks from today I will be in SC. Would rather not leave things up to the hubs to care for if I can help it.

I have not been crafting much but I did kick back with some knitting the evening of the 15th (and since!). I am working on a scarf for Beltane.

I love the colors, I am using sock yarn for this one. This picture isn’t a good one, I need to take another one later. There is a cable design to it and I love it!

The girls are finished with their classes at UNCA. Claire took a sewing class and is in love with sewing (yay, easy birthday presents!). She made a rabbit that she calls “Bunny Foo Foo”

And my personal favorite is her alien, love the sparkle eyes!

That’s it for now. Tomorrow morning I am going to get back into checking my Google Reader. I am ashamed to say I have ignored it! But now that I have some time in the mornings I will be checking back in with everyone’s blogs.
