Winds Of Change

Remember that Scorpions song? I think it came out late 80′s, early 90′s. Yea, I loved that song….well still do. Well around here things are changing. Let’s start with my Upcoming Events page. I have added some events that I am doing and some that I am not. I put those at the bottom, depending on where you are it may thrill you. Mostly they are social media events. I am keeping my eye out for some interesting events to share with you all. Now the Fanaticon on May 15th wasn’t moved despite my note. I was really looking forward to it. I don’t think there is a description but it’s a comic convention here in town, a FREE convention. I was excited because it was something we could do as a family and it wouldn’t cost us anything to get in. BUT of course the winds of change came along and blew through here. Many of you may remember that at this time last year Sean (kyle’s bro) was sick with liver cancer. He passed May 26th 2009. His ashes still have not been put to sea as were his wishes. I am not sure that the sibling in laws were not waiting for a more convenient time where Kyle could join them. I honestly don’t know why it hasn’t been handled yet. However, Kyle informed me that something has been arranged around May 15th forĀ it to be taken care of. The kids are going out to my in laws farm that weekend so I think I will be going with the hubs to Florida to spread the ashes. I am not sure if I am going or not, I think hubs is nervous about me being on a boat in open seas. I have to take dramamine to fly and while on honeymoon I got nauseaus just fishing off a pier. I know, I am so lame lol. Anywho I think I will be fine. Grab some seabands and ginger snaps and I should be ok. I have been on a boat before but it was over 20 years ago.

Yesterday the winds of change was blowing hard. Ok, it was a really crappy day. We set out for the office to pick up title to the car so we could get the car legal again. As we pulled up hubs realized he forgot his computer so we hopped back into the car after getting the title. As I went to sit down (on my broken car seat) a peice of metal snagged on my jeans and ripped them right on my butt. I had a 3 inch slice in my pants that exposed my buttcheek and crack. MMhmmm yea this was turning into a good day. Get home and I have one pair of clean pants in the dryer, some khakis i just bought a couple weeks ago. And they were dyed blue from a shirt that had gotten in the wash. I screamed! I found some pants in the washer and threw those in while hubs did a bank run for his dad. We get to the DMV to find that since my hubs has no state issued identification (license or state ID card) he can’t transfer the title to me. Wonderful! So off to his sister’s bank we go because they have a notary and she was there to verify he was a real person and who he claimed to be. Back again to DMV and we finally succeeded at getting the title changed over, new tag, and with a registration sticker. Hubs started bitching about paying for the tag but I reminded him it wasn’t MY idea. Ironically if he hadn’t, we still wouldn’t have a legal car right now because of his license issue. Which is going to get resolved tomorrow when we don’t have client appointments. Well sort of resolved, they no longer print up the license while you wait. Now we have to order it and wait for it to hit the mailbox. Anywho I am just glad it’s legal, I don’t have to panic anymore around a cop and when my mother in law goes to court over that ticket (which they better throw out the fines!) she can let them know the car is legal.

Last night I watched Jennifer’s Body. Actually it was a good movie. I thought it was going to be crap but it’s really kind of not. Amanda Seyfried is in it and I associate her with chick flicks. Amanda honey, step away from the chick flicks and do more horror (cheesy or otherwise)! Seriously, she was awesome in it! There is quite a bit of gore, had to cover the eyes quite a bit lol. But seriously, check it out if you like horror(-ish) flicks.

Ok must prepare for a workday. Got choir practice with Mother Grove tonight, wee bit nervous as I haven’t sung in a group since junior high school. But I am sure it will be fine. Talk to you all tomorrow!
