Anywho QuirkBooks sent me the latest mashup, Android Karenina by Ben H Winters and Leo Tolstoy. I honestly have not read Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina but I may have to after reading this gem. Android Karenina combines Russian elite, elegance, and cyborgs….can’t get better than that! It is a hefty read ( I am actually finishing up the last 20 pages as we speak) but it’s worth it. If you love steampunk or know an avid reader who does, this is their book! And even if you don’t love steampunk give it a shot. I have not actively set out to pick up steampunk but Winters & Tolstoy combine it well.
QuirkBooks has done an amazing job of finding mashups that keep the classics intact but spicing them up with something modern. Keep an eye out in the future, I am sure they will come up with some more amazing mashups.
