Granted, I am only part way through the first book and have only watched the first movie but I just don't get it. The books aren't that well written from what I can tell and I have little enthusiasm for whiny codependent "heroines". Yes there is that first love element that makes you all warm and fuzzy but that alone is not enough to make me obsess over the books and movies. And ya know, R.P. is just not that good looking. More than anything though, I think it is the squealing and shrieking from tweenies and Moms alike that dims any interest I could muster up. I don’t understand the Twilight obsession at all. At least when I was into vampires, they were of a adult, Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise variety, no less gay, but at least of age ;) I recently went to a baseball game that was having Twilight Night (poor planning on my part) and they had seating sections for Team Edward and Team Jacob, sadly they had no Team Get A Frakin' Life.. The women there were insane, over boys my son's age. I threw up in my mouth a little when they were showing clips on the big board, and the women were screaming like it was the freaking Beatles...
