Reaching Awesomeness

You know you have reached Blogger Awesomeness when…..

Your friends ask you your opinion on their project and they make a point to mention you can’t blog about it. Or it may even simply be a conversation and they say something like “I better NOT see this on the blog!” The hard part about that is, I probably didn’t even think about it being a blog post and now that I have been told not to I want to. But I try to be the awesome friend and keep my mouth shut. Or in this case the fingers, off the keyboard.

When you are asked to speak at a blogging conference. Even if you aren’t talking about your blog or anything remotely related to your blog niche, it still feels really nerve wracking great! You can totally come stalk me at the Type A Mom Conference and sit in on my Finance session on that Saturday.

When you receive press releases. I was actually surprised when this happened the first time. I didn’t think anyone other than my few faithful readers even KNEW I was here in my own cozy little space.

When you search keywords to see where on Google’s search results you land and you are within the first 5 listings. This always feels REALLY good. Often I check to see if my content is floating around being “borrowed” and sometimes I just want the ego boost.

When your family realizes that maybe the blog thing isn’t so weird. Although I am not actively  setting out to even work with companies, I am not opposed to it. That’s why I do have a PR page that needs to be redone, for the occasional opportunity. I have to say that the older generations of my family don’t get the whole “blogging” thing and that is ok. I just feel like when I can mention that “International Company X” sent me an email to do a review I get that it makes my blogging look less weird to them.

So is there any defining moments for you and your blog that have made you realize that you are in fact awesome? Please share!

Wow, congratulations!!! For me, I’m still glowing about my first RT’s on Twitter, likes on Facebook and then my very first interview! I’m still a long way off from being as awesome as you are, but working on it!

You ARE awesome, by the way, so all of these totally rocking things happening? So very much deserved! Go girl, GO!

You are just as awesome dear, YOU got an interview!!!!! That’s pretty dang awesome!

All of these things are totally happening. Looking forward to my session @ Type A Mom Conference, got a great giveaway in the works (it will be up in about two weeks) with an international company…..and I am totally going to brag about that at my son’s bday party this Saturday to the family lol. And I got two press releases sitting in my inbox trying to decide if I will do anything with them and what. I just don’t have an interview lol.

I have been feeling the urge to write an ebook but oddly I am not sure about what. Every idea I come up with I feel like it’s already been already done and saturates the market. So who knows where that will go.

Not really… I guess I kinda got excited when I was told a couple friends/family members do in fact read it.. One of my husbands grandparents has sent notes (in the mail) and told me to keep up the good work and that she enjoys reading it. Feels good because, as much as I love interacting with those of you I’ve met on here (I do), I started it for family and they never comment if they read it… not online and not in person. I prob also could say when I found out my inlaws were all talking about me after Zavier’s birth, but I don’t know if it was from my blog or FB. LOL

You know, finding out your family is reading your blog is awesomeness. I know my family doesn’t. Well I have some very distant florida family that might just because I link to the blog sometimes in FB. But otherwise my family sees my blogging as silliness, even when I show them the benefits. So own it babe! You are awesome!
