Some Positivity

Since yesterday was a day full of surprises that made my day go in a way that I had not wanted, I have decided that I am going to have a much better day today. The middle child still seemed ill last night. She was still dealing with some diarrhea so she is on BRAT diet for now. Poor thing had a sick smell about her so I am hoping today she will get to feeling better. She is still asleep but I am going to work to make her feel better today. She had wanted to go to church last night for their AWANA event but we didn’t let her go because of the car incident. So she is uber bummed about missing out. I am going to call and see if we can still get her in next week.

But my biggest thing is to have a positive outlook. Sometimes we tend to expect Mercury in Retrograde to be awful because of the stories we hear. I think that sometimes we set ourselves up for these awful moments. I know that I have allowed myself to expect the worst instead of work for the best. Maybe this go around won’t be as bad as my last. So that is my plan for today.

We still have some really cool stuff planned for this week. Tomorrow the Temple is helping with the Osun Veneration. We are putting together the Orisa altars for Yemaya and Osun. This event is honoring our Nigerian sister city of Osogbo. Our High Priestess, Byron Ballard, wrote about the event on her blog over at the local newspapers’ website. I am way excited about this event because it brings together our community between the pagans and our African American brethren. Sadly, our town still seems to be quite segregated so this is a moment where we all come together in prayer and celebration. Honestly, I don’t know much about Osun  and Yemaya so I am hoping to learn a thing or two while there.

Saturday we are going to York, SC for the second part of the Zhuniverse Tour. The  kids and I are learning the Zhu Zhu Pets line dance, yep….there is a dance! We will get to get on stage and show off our talents after taking part in some interactive games and whatnot. This is what the kids are most excited about. Hubs doesn’t get to go, he is helping some friends move.

So with all the cool stuff left to do, it has to be good and positive, Right?
