Happy Belated Beltane
Beltane has come and gone and I erroneously forgot to leave you all well wishes for the coming summer months. Before I get into Beltane I want to let you know that the dog is doing VERY well. She has fur growing back on her shaved area. She has most of her swelling down. She is even eating very well, as long as we take off the cone of shame and make the bowls that more easily accessible. She still isn’t quick to go up steep stairs or jump on our furniture. Which is great because I don’t want her on the furniture. She may not be able to walk on steep stairs anytime soon because of the arthritis in her hips. Once everything in our lives dies down I will work on getting her some natural meds to help with the arthritis to make life a bit more pleasant for her. But overall she has the same gleam in her eye and ferocious happy wag in the tail (this is the kind that knocks small toddlers over and glasses off the living room table).
So Beltane. Beltane is one of my most favoritest days of the year. Samhain is my other. ANd to be honest I like Midsummer as well. And Yule. Okay so I like quite a few Holy Days LOL. This year was different for me. I helped officiate the public ritual. Which made for a nervous nelly. We had great weather and great people of course. We were loud and made a raucous. We danced the Maypole and we huddled around it and pinched each others rear ends. We played drums and guitars. We feasted. We laughed and shared smiles. It was perfect……despite being the nervous nelly.
I hope you all had a wonderful Beltane, May Day, Walpurgisnacht, or even just a great weekend! And now, I leave you with some pictures

And yes, you need to get him a guitar soon – Hannah said he is a natural at it -
You really make me wish I had people to practice with. I’m glad the dog’s doing better, and it looks like Beltane was awesome. It was literally freezing here in MN, so we skipped the festivities. Big, pregnant, and freezing didn’t sound fun.
