I am feeling random.

Okay so we think we have the after school activity figured out for the boy. Kung Fu. My mother in law suggested it as we mulled over the few options we had (we never heard back from the dance school 30 min outside of town!). So then we googled and asked friends who had their kids in martial arts. We finally settled on Shaolin of Asheville which happens to be 5 minutes from our home. We can even walk there if need be. He gets to take two free classes this week to see if he really wants to join. They were so quick to email me back with info and suggestions on when to come and what to wear. I am very impressed with them so far and we look forward to taking him tonight for his first class.

Buses have finally been assigned to the elementary kids so now I don’t have to drive them. I thought I would be sad about it because I was all sad about it last week. But now I am pretty stoked that I don’t have to play taxi-mom this morning.

This week is looking like a promising week. I am getting used to the new schedule, although this morning it was rough getting up to the alarm clock. I ended up hitting the snooze button 3 times and then little man came crawling in the bed so we snuggled for another 15 before I got up and got cracking on the morning chores. I think this week will go smoother for me than last week, which is good because another rough week like last week and I might collapse. The boss also said that since I am doing lots of mundane busy work right now, if I need to take a “me” day I could do so. Very nice of him, but we need the $$$ something awful. I got birthdays and club dues for chillens coming up!

So for you bloggers out there, ever look at the websites that refer people to your blog? I am not sure if you all have that capability in your stats but I like checking out who is referring me. Sometimes it’s really weird sites, sometimes really normal ones. Sometimes it’s fundie forums that don’t allow me to actually see any postings which means I have no idea what they are saying. Most recently I have a site called Totally False that is sending over a large number of hits. When I go over there I can’t find a single thing referring to me at all. It has me REALLY curious as to whom/what/why. And hey, if you are visiting from Totally False, how about hooking a girl up with a direct link to whatever it is?

Okay a nice, short, and sweet post today. I have to get kids up and fed and ready for the bus.

    Hello Angela,

What a wonderful activity to do! My husband is a martial artist. He use to actually teach others so one day when our son asks Dh will be able to teach him. I think my Dh is a martial arts “snob” because he hates the normal Karate classes for children.

As far as referring sites, I look about once a week and normally its sites I’ve gone on and shared my link for. But my blog is relatively new.

    Have a wonderful week!

I get quite a few referrals from a dental teeth whitening site, and also from some online degree site that spells “degree” wrong. I have no idea why.

Being the “snob” might be wise LOL! I was surprised at reading reviews on some of the local classes that focused on fighting and not the mental aspect. I am all for my kids knowing how to defend themselves but I don’t want to promote fighting, ya know? And our reasons for checking into it are because of the mental training involved. So yea, i was shocked. But very glad I was able to find reviews and talk to people willing to make recommendations.
