Press Conference, Oh MY!

So much has happened since last week. So much. I can’t cover it all in post and one thing I am waiting on until I make a decision on my next move. But I will definitely let you all in on that later.

For now, let’s talk Press Conference!

So on Thursday April 19th there was a gathering of local clergy that oppose Amendment One. I have to say it was a bit odd having cameras and photogs in your face snapping pictures. Some of these people might be used to it, but I am not. I thought that I had a pleasant look on my face but every pic and news footage I have seen I look mad. I swear I wasn’t! It was an honor to speak against Amendment One and share with others why we see it as a bad thing. Of course now I can’t find the footage filmed. The paper however featured an article, sadly Mother Grove is listed as an “other” instead of mentioning us by name. The news footage didn’t even mention our presence.

On Saturday the 21st, we had a special interfaith service and voter march. I recited a Buddhist prayer that ended up leaving me in tears. I can’t help but think of those that I know and the many I don’t that will be affected badly if this Amendment is passed.

I am taking a break a bit from working on Amendment One since I am going out of town Friday. When I get back I am going to pick it back up and do what I can to educate the masses about how it’s not about gay marriage at all. Unfortunately too many people seem to think it is.
