Charlotte or Bust
So it’s 11:31 pm on Wednesday night. You will read this tomorrow probably after noon. What am I doing now? I am doing everything to prep for my trip to Charlotte tomorrow. Of course I couldn’t do anything to prepare before now. Nope, now is perfect time. Earlier we went and picked out some materials for our Temple stoles. We still need to decide on material for the other side but we got most of it done. While at Joann’s, I found a great big giant pink feather for clipping to a headband and a small pink feather boa. I bought those for the 80′s party Friday night.
Then I headed to Target. I found the coolest hot pink lace tights and thought it would be perfect for my 80′s outfit. And I picked up some toiletries. I also found a headband in the kids section for the feather clip. And some glow in the dark necklaces. SO I bought all of that.
Then I headed home where I had two kids helping me paint all my nails in different shades of neon nailpolish. Pink, orange, yellow, green, and blue. I can’t do one straight color because back in the 80′s I wore my Jordache nailpolish like a rainbow. I am also working on cleaning the clothes that I will be wearing. Because somehow I wore all my clothes and washed everyone else’s. I have packed up my toiletries, makeup, and other essentials. Just not clothes yet. So I am hoping by 1 am they will be clean and I can pack and catch a few zzz’s.
I probably won’t blog while gone. I will check email even though my vacation settings will be activated. I want to at least be able to clear out unnecessary stuff and prioritize things for Monday. I hope y’all enjoy your weekend and I look forward to sharing the experience with you when I get back!

Angie, what in the WORLD were you doing/wearing/being in the 80s? I don’t know *anybody* that wore the things you are accumulating. Except maybe…once in awhile…the multicolored nail polish.
I should show you my punk pix
LOL I wore 70′s clothes in the early 80′s and muted colors for the late 80′s. But for an 80′s party I whip out the obnoxious individual trends and then slam it all together.
